It was suggested to me to not get on a plane, that you might be — it’s always my worst fear with this job that you’re on a plane and the wireless is spotty and you can’t get to what you need to do.

“So I sat in Newark Airport, watched the place close down and then almost start to reopen again. So from like 5 p.m., they threw me out of the [United Airlines] lounge at around 10:30 p.m. when it closed and then I just went and sat downstairs until I left about 3:30 in the morning.

You know how after a big win or a championship everyone talks about dedication and how they put everything behind them to play as one? That's nothing compared to sitting at the Newark airport until 3:30 in the morning just to get the scoop. That's dedication at its finest because sitting at any airport, let alone Newark, fucking sucks. Look what he says too. He got kicked out of the lounge at 10:30, that's hours of sitting among regular people in uncomfortable seats just hoping the trade gets done. This is why this is the biggest rivalry in all of sports 

I don't blame Woj either. Plane WiFi never works and you can't be in the scoop game getting lost in the clouds. Imagine losing to your bitter rival because United's plane has spotty WiFi? Shams would never let that down. At least in my head I assume they shit talk each other about who got the scoop before the other person. Still hilarious that this is a thing. I mean we'll all find out the news at some point I don't really care where it comes from. But hey the term Woj Bomb is around for a reason and it's because the man will sit at an airport until 3:30 in the morning. 

Love the guy who gave Woj the heads up not to get on a plane. That's a powerful weapon right there. You can control a man's travel plans just with a simple suggestion. Imagine if the trade didn't happen? Woj would have no choice but to hate this man for life for barricading himself in the Newark airport.
